Questions parents ask
Financial literacy for teens: your questions, answered
Can my teen try a lesson before we buy?
Yes. Download five free sample lessons, one complete chapter from each module, with fillable worksheets.
What age is this financial literacy curriculum for?
Financially Growing is written for high school students in grades 9–12. Young adults heading to college, a first job or a first apartment use it too.
How much time does each module take?
Each lesson takes about an hour, and teens can pause at any point. Most teens finish a module in 3–4 weeks at one lesson a week. There are no live classes or deadlines.
Do I need to know a lot about money to use it?
No. Lessons are written in plain language and teach your teen directly. Optional conversation cards help you talk about money at home, even if you are still learning yourself.
Can homeschool families use it for high school credit?
Many homeschool families use Financially Growing as a personal finance unit. Each module includes a starting-line and finish-line assessment, activities and a certificate for your records. Check your state's requirements for how credit is awarded.
Is the curriculum faith-based?
The core curriculum is not faith-based. Families who want it can add Biblical Finance, an optional set of faith lessons that walk beside every module.
What is the Elite Certificate?
Teens who earn all 26 badges and finish The Great Money Garden capstone become Elite graduates. They receive a printable Elite Certificate and a signed Letter of Completion for college and scholarship applications.
How long do we have access?
Lifetime access to every module you buy, on any device.
How does my teen log in?
A parent or guardian checks out with their own email address. That email becomes your teen's login for the student portal, and the login details arrive in that inbox right after purchase. Badges, certificates and milestone updates go to the same inbox, so you can follow along.
I have more than one teen. How does that work?
Each purchase is for one student, and each student needs their own login email. Email [email protected] and we'll help you set up a login for each teen and answer questions about family pricing.
Is this financial advice?
No. Financially Growing is education. Examples use rounded numbers and historical averages, not guarantees or recommendations.
